Born in New Orleans in 1948, raised in South America and educated in Europe, Cassandra's professional artistic career spans 20 plus years. Her work has been exhibited in both National and International venues including but not limited to: Santa Fe Festival of the Arts, New Mexico; Tampa Museum of Fine Art, Tampa, FL; Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, Brooklyn, NY; Biblioteca Nacionali, Piacenza, Italy; Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL; Armory for the Arts, Palm Beach, FL; Museum of Contemporary Arts, Miami, FL; Armory for the Arts, Santa Fe, NM; SOMA Arts Center, San Francisco, CA; Cork Street Gallery, London, UK; Longview Museum of Fine Art, Dallas, TX; Boca Raton Museum of Fine Art, Boca Raton, Fl.; Cornell Museum of Fine Art, Delray Beach, FL. Midway Gallery, NY and Masterworks of New Mexico Exhibition in Albuquerque among others. Her oversized murals grace many walls in community centers and schools in Florida. In Santa Fe, NM the Guadalupe Street Mural has become a cultural landmark. She taught painting and drawing as faculty at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida for over 10 years; served as Chair for the Arts in Education (ACE) State of Florida advocacy group and on the board of many art groups. Cassandra has received many awards for her work and community service including the "Best of the Bay "Award for her work with the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Working under grants with The Cultural Affairs Department of the State of Florida, she initiated many innovative art programs for children within Title 1 Public Schools; including a 2-year program at the State of Florida Corrections Juvenile Detention Center Facility. She has taught privately for over 20 years. Although Cassandra has lived almost everywhere, her career began in Santa Fe in the late 70’s and she calls New Mexico home. She left in 1997 for Florida, but in 2007 returned, establishing her permanent studio in Roswell. Cassandra is currently a member of Arts Beyond Borders in Australia, Artificio in Italy; Women's Art Network, NY; Western States Arts Federation, Galeria Luna in Poland and The National Association of Women Artist in New York and Florida. She is also listed in Who’s Who of American Women.
